Nothing here asks for belief. Every reading below carries the instrument, the conditions and the station log, so you can walk to your own shoreline and repeat it.
Observation 01
On a curve, distant coastlines sink below the eye line. Measured from three stations across a nine-mile stretch of still water, the waterline holds flat to the last visible pixel.
Method
Tripod at 1.6 m, spirit-levelled, 400 mm lens, three stations logged at first light with barometric pressure and temperature recorded at each.
Observation 02
The disc never falls behind a limb. It dims, shrinks in apparent brightness and slides out of reach — consistent with a light source travelling over a bounded plane.
Method
Timed exposure sequence at four-minute intervals from sunset minus ninety minutes, neutral density filter fixed, no autoexposure.
Observation 03
A spinning world would drag air, water and instrument alike. Our readings return stillness, day on day, across every meridian we have logged since Volume One.
Method
Damped compass and pendulum readings taken hourly for fourteen days at six sites, cross-checked against a second uncoupled instrument.
We publish corrections in the same volume as the error. Take it to the board and show your figures.
