Aerial view of a level ocean horizon at first light

The Horizon Doesn't Bend. Neither Do We.

A field journal of photographs, instruments and scripture arguing for the plane we stand on — measured, cited, and open to question.

Three Instruments, One Plane

01 · The Level Horizon

The Line Stays Level

On a curve, distant coastlines sink below the eye line. Measured from three stations across a nine-mile stretch of still water, the waterline holds flat to the last visible pixel.

02 · The Low Sun

A Sun That Doesn't Set

The disc never falls behind a limb. It dims, shrinks in apparent brightness and slides out of reach — consistent with a light source travelling over a bounded plane.

03 · The Inert Compass

A Stationary Needle

A spinning world would drag air, water and instrument alike. Our readings return stillness, day on day, across every meridian we have logged since Volume One.

(b) From the Text

“The four corners of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof.”

Isaiah 11:12 — read plainly, not as poetry.

Why the Lake Horizon Wins Every Lens

We shot the same shore at 24 mm, 85 mm and 400 mm. The geometry never curved once — here is the full set, with the raw frames and the station log.

Reading the Sun as a Lamp, Not a Star

A dimming light doesn't orbit. We walk through the timing tables, the apparent-size measurements and the shadow lengths that suggest otherwise.

The Old Maps Knew Better

Before the globe became dogma, cartographers drew the disc, and sailors crossed oceans with it. We revisit the prints that survived the century.
